Cookie policy
This page lays out how RGV 4x4 uses cookies and similar storage on this website and how you can control them. It exists so you can see exactly what the site does instead of assuming the worst or the…
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site leaves in your browser. It can let the site remember a choice between visits, such as the language you picked, or help measure which pages people find useful. Cookies are not programs and cannot run on your device or read other files by themselves.
- Small files stored by your browser
- Used to remember a choice or measure use
- Not programs, and unable to run alone
The cookies we set
We keep the count low. One may remember your language so the site stays in English or Spanish between visits. Others may show us, in aggregate, which pages are read most, so we can tell whether a fitment guide or a model page is genuinely useful. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles for other firms.
Managing cookies
Your browser controls cookies. Most let you block all of them, block only third-party ones or delete those already stored. Blocking cookies entirely means the language preference is forgotten and some measurement stops, but the site still works.
Third-party tools
When we use a third-party measurement tool, it may set its own cookie and handle data under its own policy. We pick tools that keep data minimal and avoid reselling it. Where a tool is optional, we would rather it stay idle until needed than track a visitor who merely glanced at a page.
Why the list stays short
We use as few cookies as we can manage, because a shop website has no need for a long tracker list. If we ever add a tool that stores more, it will be named here with an explanation of what it does. A visitor should be able to read a page and send a message without a trail of files following them out.
- As few cookies as possible
- New tools get listed here
- Read and write without a trail
Questions about cookies
Want to know more about the cookies here or how to remove them? Send a message through the contact form and we will explain in plain language. We would rather answer a question than leave a visitor guessing about what is stored.
